Business Challenge

The client’s main requirement was that the upgrade to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations on Microsoft Azure cloud services be executed efficiently in a timely and streamlined manner, while not overly consuming their resources as they are not a large organization. At the same time, there were certain specific needs of the client including;

  • Tyler TIE extensions were to be replaced,
  • Designated custom fields, workflows, security roles, and Tyler documentation needed to be upgraded,
  • Crystal reports to be re-implemented to tie to Dynamics 365
  • The integrations as from Portland Loan/Grants on-prem to Dynamics 365 on Azure needed to be re-architected for operating on cloud services.
Solution

OnActuate proposed our tailored Dynamics 365 upgrade delivery program and services to meet their requirements. This entailed our process-centric phased approach along with data migration to Dynamics 365 process methodology which includes our upgraded ‘analyzer’, cleansing, and testing steps process flow. Our Functional and Technical team worked to understand and implement the required changes for making the interface and ensuring the third-party software worked with Dynamics 365. The team on this project states that the transition to Dynamics 365 was quite smooth and business had been operating without any blockers since Go-Live.
