Business Challenge

The Pinellas County Tax Collector needed to optimize its financial management system to enhance transaction processing speed, improve productivity, and uphold its mission of exceptional public fund stewardship. The existing highly customized Microsoft Dynamics GP system was outdated and required a seamless migration to a modern, cloud-based ERP solution.

Solution

The Pinellas County Tax Collector implemented OnActuate’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Accelerator. This migration enabled faster transaction processing through enhanced workflows and established a strong foundation for advanced data and AI integration. Utilizing out-of-the-box Dynamics 365 functionalities and OnActuate’s accelerator ensured a rapid, low-risk deployment. The new system includes General Ledger, Cash & Bank Management, Accounts Payable, and Procurement and Sourcing, enhancing financial management and customer service.

Benefits of this implementation include:

  • Increased Efficiency: Workflows for various accounting functions have significantly sped up transaction processing times.
  • Enhanced Paperless Operations: With the ability to attach documentation directly to transactions, the accounting department is on track to achieve its goal of becoming 100% paperless.
  • Improved Vendor Payments: The transition to EFT processing for vendor payments is ahead of schedule, ensuring faster payment delivery and reducing fraud risk.
