Business Challenge

As the fastest-growing metropolitan area in the Midwest, the City needed to run with operational excellence city-wide. However, slow system performance was impacting staff’s ability to efficiently provide financial services for citizens and procurement services for vendors. This was in part due to many customizations, dependencies on 3rd party solutions, and limited reporting capabilities.

Solution

In one of the largest ERP rollouts in the U.S. Public Sector, the City partnered with OnActuate on a digital transformation, referred to as “Project ELEVATE.” In less than 16 months, the City upgraded from AX 2012 R3 to cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and implemented innovative vendor collaboration and integrated cashiering solutions. The focus on utilizing out-of-the-box system capabilities led to greater flexibility, better quality service, and improved data-based decision-making for the City.
