Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan provides group and individual insurance products to education employees and other union organizations in Ontario. Its individual insurance solutions include property, auto, retiree health, travel and dental, life, long term care, critical illness, travel top-up coverage, and occasional education employees plans. The company’s group benefits comprise of group benefits coverage, cancer assistance program, OTIP services, and online benefits.

The non-profit had several semi-automated processes requiring manual steps and workarounds that was overall not intuitive and not easy to use. It also had an over-dependence on IT for basic tasks.
Our solution was to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain Management, replacing Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan’s current ‘ERP’ business system Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016. This would eliminate the manual processes that was slowing business processes down. The implementation includes the analysis, design and development, testing, and deployment as well as management of the project. It will also include the Master Data Migration to Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain. By replacing the current on-prem platform, OTIP will benefit from Dynamics 365’s automated capabilities, specifically in Intercompany and Fund Accounting.
