Business Challenge

HPS was running numerous disconnected, smaller ERP systems. All the data had to be manually consolidated and the solution didn’t handle multi-currency or multi-entity. HPS decided to move to Microsoft Dynamics AX solution and needed a reliable partner to help with an AX 2012 global rollout plan and execution. The company would eventually require more rollouts to migrate to newer versions of Dynamics.

Solution

OnActuate created, implemented, and supported a strategic rollout of Microsoft Dynamics AX for HPS. The OnActuate strategy was to build a global ERP project team at both the client and the partner level. This cross-functional business unit team was organized around the primary business objectives for HPS and followed a process-centric, collaborative approach with ample communication. HPS India went live with AX 2012 in February 2019. At the end of March, it did a fiscal count for year end and was able to provide an accurate physical inventory count for the first time. Since the global rollout, HPS India can complete physical inventory 75% faster and perform month-end closing in half the time.

Due to the success of the AX 2012 project, HPS and OnActuate partnered again on a global rollout to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain. Eight worldwide locations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and India were migrated to the new cloud-based system. HPS now benefits from the business value of being online and accelerated time-to-value on a flexible platform. Advantages from the rollout include a reduction in the total cost of ownership, improved business capabilities and increased productivity for HPS’ 700 users.
