Business Challenge
CapMetro utilizes Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 (on-premise) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Financial System. Currently, a single book of records and financial statements are maintained in AX and Management Reporter for the CapMetro legal entity. To meet the requirements of a joint venture between CapMetro and the City of Austin, a new legal entity called Austin Transit Partnership (ATP), required its own books and financial statements in Microsoft Dynamics which must function alongside the existing CapMetro legal entity. CapMetro required a very qualified Dynamics AX / 365 consulting partner to provide the professional, technical, consultative and postproduction support services to set-up the new legal entity, and then support both entities when in production for 2-3 years.
Solution
OnActuate analyzed how Dynamics 365 F&O could meet the ERP requirements for both CapMetro and the new legal entity. When CapMetro asked for an earlier delivery, the organizations worked together to prioritize certain parts of the project. OnActuate migrated the agency’s ERP to Dynamics 365 F&O successfully ahead of time in Spring 2022. CapMetro is also enrolled in OnActuate’s Managed Services program for ongoing support post-production.
